Teacher's Day
Today is teacher's day but it's just like any other day.During my school and college days ,we used to look forward to this day so we could chill out with teachers. They are the role models who work as reference guides and help us in making crucial decisions.Face it,all us have had our respective crushes.I know i had, on my french teacher who was also my English teacher,"Miss Chopra" we called her. No!!!! she's not a relative of Yash Chopra.I didn't have the hots for her but let's just say i was impressed..She always encouraged me to get higher marks in all my subjects.I scored 75 marks in English and french but she was not happy and made it quite clear while handing out my result. She always thought i was from Iran,I wonder why.At the end of my first yr in junior college ,she got married and moved to the states.I couldn't fathom the fact that she left. But life goes on.HAPPY TEACHER'S DAY Miss Chopra.

Black Magic
Few days back,I was watching an episode about black magic on National Geographic Channel.Do spirits actually exist?.What i saw in that episode was terrifying. It seems ,in order to cast a spell ,all you had to do was get the photo or hair and that person's life would be doomed forever. The priest destroyed all the belongings of the person doing black magic. What followed was even more horrifying, some fell sick during the ritual of destruction and some even died. Why are people so superstitious?(sic)

Drama galore
Majority of us have this habit of blowing things out of proportion. The Perfect example are certain celebrities and politicians. They provide more drama than saas bahu soaps and reality shows.Take for instance,a not so famous celebrity would use all his/her strategy to gain publicity just to be featured on page 3.They would even go to the extent of providing gossip to the media. Now,you know where the media gets their information from and who is their source???.On the episode of "Bigg Boss" last night I was disgusted to see rakhi vijan and sambhavna seth outdo each other to gain maximum footage.Everyone knows their careers are in doldrums and they want to grab every opportunity to uplift it.

Oops!!!!
We were this mischievous group who were always up to something. We used to ring up each other and say,"Am i speaking to hrithik roshan?".Landline ruled those days.Once ,i called up my friend and since there was no caller id back then ,nobody could identify the person on the other end.His dad answered and since their voices were practically identical ,it was difficult to differentiate.I inquired "Is this the BMC office?" to which he replied "Nahin, wrong number".Not willing to hang up i said "Abey khajoor, pehchana kya?".There was complete silence and he asked angrily "Kaun hai?".Realizing my blunder I knew this was the father. After apologizing I hung up. My friend got a earful about the company he kept. After this incident I ducked whenever i saw his dad approaching .My friends had a gala time with this.We are more civilized now thanks to cell phones.

Marriage
They say "love is blind and marriage is an eye opener".This turns out be true in most of the cases. I've seen couples totally smitten by each other when they are dating.Innumerable calls and sms is followed by daily meetings. It's quite impossible to take their eyes off each other and for some ,the world outside their cocoon doesn't exist.Friends and relatives are totally forgotten.Once they get married ,both take each other for granted.Somehow, the insecurity of losing one's partner flies out of the window coz now you know that there are dim chances of falling in love again.Although, some would beg to differ considering the recent amount of divorce cases that have been cropping up.After getting married, you know for sure that at the end of the day,you end up under the same roof. What people fail to realise,it requires immense effort to keep the same spark alive. It doesn't help if you find fault in each other and land up in the counsellor's office. The answer lies beneath and only you can solve the puzzle.Spending some time away in a recluse spot together would definitely strengthen the bond.Small gestures like making one's fantasies come true may ignite the lost touch. The fortunate one's who follow these tips get closer and the lesser fortunate ,Well !!!! ,the lawyers make money out of their misery.

April Fool
I was prankster in my teens. On numerous occasions i was reprimanded for these pranks.I never realized the tables would turn someday. One of my office colleagues pulled a fast one on me on the 1st of april.Posing as someone from FM radio he called me up on my landline and said he wanted to speak to me regarding a bumper prize. My father answered and was quite excited on hearing i had won the bumper prize of 1 lac. He's the perfect example of "Counting the chicken before they hatch".He made plans on what to do with the prize money. The top priority on his list was to paint the house specially since the ceiling was cracking up,second was to get a second hand maruti 800 and all this before i even came on the phone.Once i came on line ,the person on the other end inquired if i listened to FM radio. Now, since i was working night shifts , i hardly had time for a wink forget listening to radio.I replied in the affirmative coz i was too excited to tell the truth. He went about inquiring what i intended to do with the prize money and if i had a girlfriend. That gave him away and I knew this was my friend Dharmesh from the office.Suffice to say ,i was pretty embarassed and it gave him an opportunity to pull my leg in front of everyone. My father's dreams came crashing down, not to mention mine too.I learnt my lesson and henceforth,i vowed never to play a prank. But then ,you never know, as Arnold said in Terminator, "I'll be back".

Twinkle Twinkle little star
In yesterday's episode of "kaun jitega bollywood ka ticket",twinkle and puneet were back in the game due to public demand. It's pretty evident from the fact that this was a strategy adopted by the head honcho.I mean, who would want to lose such participants who are responsible for raising the TRP's of the show.Much to the disgust of the other contestants and the judges, the show goes on.All that talk of self respect and dignity went down the drain. It's all about money, money, money .What was more hilarious was to see the audio visuals of the comments made by the judges when they had walked out ,which were quite nasty but true.According to me,they shouldn't come back but I'm just a viewer so,my suggestion doesn't count.
